Description: Until recently, severe criticism was made of the concept of quality in the university. Some argue that its level responds and is in line with the disputes waged in the economic and political spheres, where competitiveness, individualism and elitism embody the search for possible alternatives of excellence, while some pedagogues consider that quality proposals with equity, they capitally favor students who have greater self-learning facilities and come from disadvantaged sectors. If so, the quality of education would be falsified by pedagogical strategies that do not provide methods that support the development of competencies with equity, where individual and group progress plus self-learning can allow their actors to reach as far as each of them want to reach.
