| Abstract: | Estados Unidos, como centro cultural de América, recibe y ha recibido a autores extranjeros en el seno de su literatura nacional. Harold Bloom menciona que al centro de las manifestaciones literarias norteamericanas se encuentran Walt Whitman, Ernest Hemingway y F. Scott Fitzgerald, ejemplares americanos, padres de la nación. Más adelante, George Steiner aventura que también se pueden considerar como figura central a Vladimir Nabokov, ruso de origen y nacionalizado americano, que escribió su obra más importante en inglés 1 . Así pues, luego de que autores de orígenes asiáticos, judíos o africanos ingresaran al canon de la literatura estadounidense, fenómeno suscitado durante la década de los cincuenta del siglo pasado, en los últimos 30 años ha sido turno del resto del continente. Latinos de todos los países al sur de la frontera, como Sandra Cisneros, Junot Díaz, Benjamín Alire Saenz, Ana Castillo o Daniel Alarcón escriben ahora desde Estados Unidos como miembros de esta comunidad, formando parte de una primera generación de migrantes y escritores en esta particular situación. La idea de esta tesis nació a partir de la curiosidad de saber qué autores, al contrario de los migrantes naturalizados a la identidad estadounidense, habitan al país vecino del norte, pero mantienen las claves identitarias de México, específicamente la lengua y la temática latinoamericana (en caso de que se pueda hablar de una “temática latinoamericana”) y que caracteriza su obra. |
| Description: | The United States, as the cultural center of the Americas, receives and has received foreign authors into the heart of its national literature. Harold Bloom mentions that at the center of American literary manifestations are Walt Whitman, Ernest Hemingway and F. Scott Fitzgerald, exemplary Americans, fathers of the nation. and F.
