| dc.description | The representation of the face produces a kind of estrangement or plurality that changes its ontological status from the real to its unfolding. From the semiotic lens the rem- nants of an identity expressed in hieroglyphics are analysed here: spoken portraits, ghostly and unlikely in the ekphrastic poetry, the metamorphic panting, synthetic and metafictio- nal theatre of several Mexican authors, far apart in time from one another, joined by the pa- radoxes of otherness and the ephemeral.
