La representación del rostro produce una especie de extrañamiento o pluralidad que
cambia su estatuto ontológico de lo real a su desdoblamiento. Desde el punto de vista semiótico, aquí se analizan los rasgos de una identidad expresada en jeroglíficos: retratos hablados, retratos fantasmales
e inverosímil en la poesía ecfrástica, la metamórfica jadeante, sintética y metafictio-
teatro nacional de varios autores mexicanos, distantes en el tiempo entre sí, unidos por la
radoxas de la alteridad y lo efímero. Retratos de palabras y arena, polimorfos y estriados.

The representation of the face produces a kind of estrangement or plurality that
changes its ontological status from the real to its unfolding. From the semiotic lens the rem-
nants of an identity expressed in hieroglyphics are analysed here: spoken portraits, ghostly
and unlikely in the ekphrastic poetry, the metamorphic panting, synthetic and metafictio-
nal theatre of several Mexican authors, far apart in time from one another, joined by the pa-
radoxes of otherness and the ephemeral. Portraits of words and sand, polymorphed and stri-
dent visages, reduplication and movement that draw the continuous metamorphosis and
hybridism of the Mexican culture
