| Abstract: | En este trabajo se pretenden abordar los aspectos más relevantes sobre la construcción de iglesias, su sentido y significados desde una arquitectura que intentó ser inspirada y dirigida a partir de los lineamientos del Concilio de Trento y a través de los cuatro concilios provinciales mexicanos durante la etapa del virreinato. Se intenta mostrar una reconstrucción e interpretación históricas del fenómeno de la fábrica eclesiástica, diferenciada en algunos aspectos de la llana y directa arquitectura de iglesias, con una tesis previa: la delineación de las edificaciones religiosas en el periodo, no siempre siguieron los lineamientos emanados del Concilio de Trento y de las concilios provinciales mexicanos, debido a diferentes factores. |
| Description: | This work aims to address the most relevant aspects of church construction, its meaning, and significance within an architectural style that sought to be inspired and guided by the guidelines of the Council of Trent and the four Mexican provincial councils during the viceroyalty period. It attempts to present a historical reconstruction and interpretation of the phenomenon of ecclesiastical buildings, distinguishing them in some aspects from the straightforward architecture of churches. This is based on the premise that the design of religious buildings during this period did not always adhere to the guidelines established by the Council of Trent and the Mexican provincial councils, due to various factors. |
