| dc.description | This paper aims to analyze the main challenges in teaching English at the primary level in Mexican public schools. In recent years, English language instruction has been added to the national curriculum throughout basic education following the 2011 Comprehensive Basic Education Reform (RIEB), which promotes the holistic development of all preschools, primary, and secondary school students by establishing English as a mandatory subject. It also establishes a graduation profile for each level to ensure articulation between them, ultimately aiming to develop citizens with the basic tools to communicate in a foreign language. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo analizar las principales problemáticas de la enseñanza del idioma inglés en el nivel primaria de las escuelas públicas en México. En los últimos años, la enseñanza del idioma ha sido añadido al currículo nacional en toda la educación básica a partir de la reforma integral básica (RIEB) en 2011, donde se impulsa la formación integral de todos los alumnos y alumnas de preescolar, primaria y secundaria, estableciendo la asignatura de inglés como obligatoria; además de un perfil de egreso de cada nivel para lograr la articulación entre ellos. Y así lograr la formación de ciudadanas y ciudadanos con las herramientas básicas para comunicarse en la lengua extranjera. | en_US |
