| dc.description | This research proposes a new reading of Mempo Giardinelli's novel Qué solos se quedan los muertos, in which the detective's journey is analyzed as an anthropological trajectory through the psychological and metaphorical labyrinth that the city of Zacatecas in 1982 becomes in the novel. The city of Zacatecas is a symbolic setting that reflects the emotional and existential challenges faced by the protagonist during the investigation of a crime. This perspective sheds new light on the plot and characters, revealing deeper connections between the narrative and the spaces of exploration in the enigma within the context of Latin American neo-detective fiction. The analysis focuses on the way the protagonist walks the city, the symbolism of the city and its impact on the evolution of the protagonist and the story, providing an enigmatic perspective on Giardinelli's novel as a restoration of memory. | en_US |

La ciudad de Zacatecas es un escenario simbólico que refleja los desafíos emocionales y existenciales del protagonista mientras investiga un crimen, revelando conexiones entre la narrativa, los personajes y los espacios de la exploración del enigma. En el contexto de la novela neopolicial latinoamericana, el análisis se enfoca en los recorridos descritos en la novela, el simbolismo de la ciudad y su impacto en la evolución del protagonista y la trama, ofreciendo una visión enigmática de la novela de Giardinelli como restauración de la memoria. | en_US |
