| Abstract: | La literatura mexicana no se puede concebir sin la figura y obra de Elena Garro. Ella fue una mujer polémica que se desempeñó en diferentes campos de la creación literaria. Fue corógrafa y periodista. Se posicionó en el canon de la literatura gracias a su novela Los recuerdos del porvenir (1963), ganadora del Premio Xavier Villaurrutia. La vida y obra de Garro estuvieron siempre envueltas en la polémica y en contra de la ideología patriarcal. Su empoderamiento radicó –entre otros aspectos– en tomar el oficio de escritora y, por medio de su pluma, evidenciar la violencia y la opresión que muchas mujeres experimentaron y vivieron. Elena Garro es una escritora a la que se le empieza a valorar más. A pesar del tardío reconocimiento a su trabajo, es necesario divulgar más su creación artística. Una de las características en las obras de su producción literaria es que tienen a personajes femeninos como figuras principales. Reencuentro de personajes (1982) y Testimonios sobre Mariana (1981) son novelas que tienen como protagonistas a dos mujeres: Verónica y Mariana. Ambos libros constituyen el corpus elegido para este trabajo de investigación por las temáticas que en ellos se aborda y porque además tienen una cercanía temporal respecto a su publicación. |
