| Abstract: | El presente documento tiene como finalidad realizar un análisis sobre el concepto de familia, examinándose, en primer lugar, la etimología del término ‘familia’, enseguida se exponen diversas transformaciones que ha sufrido la estructura familiar, por lo que su definición ha transmutado continuamente; enseguida se definen algunos tipos de familia, tanto del siglo XX como lo que va del XXI. Posteriormente, se abre el debate de si la familia tradicional o patriarcal en la actualidad está o no en crisis, y se analiza cómo han sido seriamente cuestionados conceptos propios de este tipo de familia como matrimonio, jefe (hombre) de familia, mujer madre y ama de casa; donde la procreación se pone en tela de juicio. Finalmente, se plantea la importancia de integrar dentro de las categorías o tipos de familia lo que se puede denominar como la familia individual, a partir de una revisión y posterior análisis de la literatura que habla sobre hogares unipersonales. |
| Description: | The purpose of this document is to carry out an analysis on the concept of family, examining, firstly, the etymology of the term ‘family’, then various transformations that the family structure has undergone are exposed, so its definition has been continuously transmuted; some types of family are defined immediately, both from the 20th century and what is going on in the 21st. Subsequently, the debate is opened on whether or not the traditional or patriarchal family is currently in crisis, and it is analyzed how concepts of this type of family such as marriage, head (man) of family, woman mother and housewife; where procreation is called into question. Finally, the importance of integrating within the categories or types of family is raised what can be called the individual family, based on a review and subsequent analysis of the literature that talks about single-person households. |
