He
A cosmological change occurred with the scientific revolution that
resulted in numerous theological —and at times geopolitical— debates.
During the 18th century we witness the appearance of a large variety of
texts that border philosophy and the epistolary genre that announce the
transformation of hermetic knowledge into general scientific
knowledge. Astrology, astronomy, alchemy, Mechanicism and
freethinking are present in New World tertulias, and in other texts:
funereal obsequies, almanacs, letters....in which chronological
computations, ideas about the universe and the placement of the stars
are discussed. This paper contains an example of the dialogue between
scientific and literary texts.
