| dc.description | This text focuses on the analysis of the narrators, narrative modes, narrated worlds and events in six films directed by Martin Scorsese, this in order to verify that the true core and essential authorial characteristic of the films the Italian American has directed is inner focalization. To confirm this hypothesis, eight modes in which fictional feature films directed by Scorsese are narrated have been defined. These modes are classified based on the predominant discursive mode of the narrator, the level of knowledge the narrator possesses about the film's plot, and the intention behind the narration. All these characteristics are analyzed separately in each one of the selected films. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | En este texto se analizan los narradores, modos narrativos, mundos y eventos narrados en seis cintas del director Martin Scorsese con la finalidad de comprobar que el verdadero núcleo y primordial característica autoral de las cintas que ha dirigido es la focalización interna. Para lograr constatar esta hipótesis, se han delimitado ocho modos en los que son narrados los largometrajes de ficción dirigidos por Scorsese, dichos modos se encuentran clasificados de acuerdo al modo discursivo predominante del narrador, el nivel de conocimiento que éste posee de la trama del filme y la intención que existe detrás de la narración. Todas estas características se analizan por separado en cada una de las películas seleccionadas. | en_US |
