| dc.description | It is during the nearly decade-long existence (1823-1832) of the state of Zacatecas within the framework and context of the new nation, or the Mexican state, that the reflections of a centralist and centralizing policy emanating from the city of Zacatecas become apparent, naturally and logically consistent with the centralism inherited from the viceregal era. This analysis then examines the links between this political centrality and the territorial, social, and economic realities of Zacatecas and Mexico in order to characterize its significance in the struggle to establish a prosperous state and nation. | en_US |
