| Abstract: | El ensayo presenta la descripción de un periodo de la reflexión teórica de Raúl Prebisch; se subraya la evolución teórica a partir de 1944 y la culminación de la misma en 1949. Destaca la manera en que interpreta a Keynes así como su crítica y la innovación teórica sobre el mecanismo compulsivo que explica el origen del beneficio y la irrelevancia de la discusión conceptual suscitada por la distinción entre el ahorro y la inversión y la noción de la preferencia por la liquidez para explicar el ciclo económico. |
| Description: | The article presents a description of a period in the theoretical reflection of Raúl Prebisch; it emphasizes the theoretical evolutionfrom 1944 onwards and the culmination of the perspective in question in 1949. I accentuate the manner in which he interprets and criticizes Keynes and the theoretical innovation on the compulsive mechanism that explains the origin of profit and the irrelevance of the conceptual discussion that arose from the saving-investment distinction and the notion of liquidity preference to explain the economic cycle. |
