The trichinellosis is endemic and zoonotic parasitic disease acquired by consumption of inadequately
cooked infected meat. The benzimidazoles are greater antiparasitic drugs that have been presented, the
objective is to characterize the immune response and pathological features of mice infected with Trichinella
spiralis and treated with albendazole and ivermectin, the experimental model consisted of: 120 Long Evans
rat strain, healthy control (CS), infected control (IC) and treated with albendazole at doses of 7.5 mg / kg
and 15 mg/kg and Ivermectin with one and two doses of 200 μg/kg, muscular digestive phase. We performed
tissue compression technique, Artificial Digestion, Microinmunodifusión, Inmunoelectrotransferencia,
Intradermorreacción, plus biopsies were obtained were analyzed by hematoxylin-eosin and observed by
light microscopy. Significant difference was observed in the treatment with ABZ, showing an effective
immune response that continues to recognize the parasite, showing greater efficacy than murine treated
with Ivermectin (IVM), stating that the different diagnostic techniques are paramount, appearing in each
one, differences between treatments. The statistical analysis in Centurion Stargraphics program yielded
highly significant results with a p ˂ 0.01 and 95.0% level of confidence.
