| dc.description | This article presents a reading based on the interpretation of the story “The fault is of the Tlaxcaltecas” by Elena Garro. This reading does not follow the approach that the narrator and protagonist of the story is Doña Marina, the Malinche, but rather it can symbolically represent Isabel of Moctezuma, the daughter of Emperor Moctezuma Xocoyotzi. Through passages from the story and an analysis of the bibliography of the tlatoani's daughter, it is possible to find similarities between the lives of these women who were contemporaries, as well as rethink the identity of the protagonist of the story. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | En el siguiente artículo se presenta una lectura sobre el cuento “La culpa de los tlaxcaltecas” de Elena Garro. Esta lectura no sigue el planteamiento de que la narradora y protagonista del relato es doña Marina, la Malinche, sino que puede representar simbólicamente a Isabel de Moctezuma, la hija del emperador Moctezuma Xocoyotzi. A través de pasajes del cuento y un análisis de la bibliografía de la hija del tlatoani es posible encontrar similitudes entre las vidas de estas mujeres que fueron contemporáneas, así como repensar la identidad de la protagonista del cuento. | en_US |
