Resumen:
El presente trabajo estudia los Infortunios de Alonso Ramírez y Relato de un náufrago, dos
crónicas cuyo contenido es un ejercicio de crítica hacía el sistema en Latinoamérica, un
sistema que, desde los tiempos de la Corona (en el siglo XVI), hasta en la época
contemporánea (siglo XX), han tenido gobiernos incapaces de gobernar justamente; es así
que tenemos a un criollo que pudo darle la vuelta al mundo, y a un marino, quien se
encargó de desenmascarar al mal gobierno. Estas obras no sólo convergen en el mismo
tema, ambas son incatalogables en un género, pues oscilan entre varios, ambas tienen
forma de crónica, pero, lo más importante, ambas fueron escritas por los escritores más
sobresalientes de su época: Carlos de Sigüenza y Góngora y Gabriel García Márquez. Esto
hace de estas obras un referente muy importante, aún en nuestros tiempos. Al tratarse de
crónicas noveladas, se puede decir (también) que ambas son obras periodísticas y, al estar
a más de tres siglos de distancia, se habla de un inicio del periodismo y de una
consolidación del mismo.

The present work studies Infortunios de Alonso Ramírez and Relato de un náufrago, two
chronicles whose content is a exercise of criticism towards the system in Latin America, a
system that, since the time of the Crown (in the 16th century), even in the contemporary
era (twentieth century), have had governments unable to govern fairly; This is how we
have a creole who could go around the world, and a sailor, who was responsible for
exposing the bad government. These works not only converge on the same theme, both
are incatalogables in a genre, because they range from several, both are in the form of a
chronicle, but, most importantly, both were written by the most outstanding writers of
their time: Carlos de Sigüenza and Gongora and Gabriel García Márquez. This makes
these works a very important reference, even in our times. When dealing with novel
chronicles, it can be said (also) that both are journalistic works and, being more than three
centuries away, there is talk of a beginning of journalism and its consolidation.
