The present investigation reviews the novel written by the French Argentine author Laura
Alcoa, La casa de los conejos, from an autobiographical perspective, which is found
within the context of Argentina in the 70s, more specifically during the months prior to
the coup de State of the ’76. A path is made through the years prior to the beginning of
the military dictatorship, to understand the situation the country was going through,
which, in the end, was submerged in state terrorism. A biography of the author is also
constructed outside of her literary work, in order to achieve a separation between what
could be considered as fiction and what is verifiable reality through official documents.
In addition, a study is made on the process of remembering, and based on theoretical
concepts, the structuring that the author carries out with the characters, spaces and
narrative time is analyzed.
