Resumen:
Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO) representó un fenómeno social y
político sin precedentes en las elecciones presidenciales del 2018. El candidato,
y ahora presidente de la Nación, encabezó las preferencias electorales y desde
el inicio de la contienda —hasta la fecha—, mantiene una estrategia
comunicacional exitosa gracias a los rasgos de un populista: liderazgo, carisma
y popularidad, virtudes nunca antes vistas por los mexicanos en un gobernante,
quien se ha ganado el corazón y el respeto de quienes respaldan su proyecto de
la Cuarta Transformación.
La investigación multidisciplinaria, enfocada principalmente en las
ciencias sociales y la comunicación, representa un estudio oportuno sobre los
simbolismos y palabras en el discurso político de AMLO. Por ello, en este
trabajo, se realizó un análisis de discurso interpretativo basado en la teoría
política de Ernesto Laclau para conocer cómo manejó su retórica y además,
cómo el descontento social funcionó como un trampolín de despegue para
posicionar su imagen política. Por medio de las demandas y necesidades de los
sectores no escuchados se dio un significado a su mensaje discursivo en la
construcción de sus propuestas y con ello se aplicó el significante de vacío de
la teoría política del populismo de Laclau.
Su retórica es directa, utiliza palabras sencillas con un simbolismo
político encaminado a la teoría de interaccionismo simbólico de Hebert Blumer
ante el intercambio por medio del lenguaje y otros símbolos, desde que era
candidato presidencial y ahora como mandatario. AMLO ha retomado los
problemas que han dañado por décadas al pueblo mexicano, ya que nunca antes
habían sido visibilizados por un candidato o mandatario. Dichos temas son: la
corrupción en las instituciones públicas, el control de las élites de poder y la
desigualdad entre las clases sociales.
La calidad y destreza de su mensaje discursivo se ha ganado la
confianza y la empatía de los ciudadanos y, hasta el momento, es uno de los
presidentes más queridos y populares, ya que según la encuesta más reciente
de Mitofsky (octubre 2021) -para El Economista-, el 64% de los mexicanos
avalan el trabajo del presidente Andrés Manuel López Obrador, reflejando con
ello niveles de aprobación más altos con respecto al año anterior, donde obtuvo
el 63%. Adicionalmente, a unos meses de la realización de la consulta sobre la
revocación de mandato, el 62% de los mexicanos están convencidos de votar a
favor del presidente, hasta concluir su mandato presidencial (Consulta mx,
2021).
López Obrador arribó a la Presidencia de la República con un índice de
aceptación mayor -comparado con los primeros meses del expresidente
Vicente Fox- cercano al 67 % (Rojas, 2019, párr. 1). Al llegar a la presidencia
se vivían momentos de descontento nacional por el incumplimiento de las
autoridades anteriores, por lo que el Movimiento de Regeneración Nacional
(Morena) representó una esperanza con un candidato diferente y de moral
intachable, que vería por los que menos tienen.
En este contexto, la presente investigación se aborda con un enfoque
cualitativo, basado en el análisis político del discurso desde la perspectiva de
Ernesto Laclau, mismo que fue aplicado tanto a los discursos de su campaña
electoral 2018 (apertura y cierre), como a dos de los pronunciados ya como
mandatario de la nación, en este caso, los concernientes a la celebración del
primer año de su triunfo -desde el Zócalo de la Ciudad de México- y a su Primer
Informe de Gobierno, por centrase estos últimos en los temas de mayor
demanda por parte de los mexicanos, como lo son, la inseguridad, la
corrupción, la austeridad y los programas sociales (Prensa de la Presidencia,
2020).
