capacidades
Descripción:
Today, women have gained greater participation in social, educational, economic,
political and labor spheres thanks to the movements around the fight for gender
equality with respect to the same rights and opportunities as men. However, a
8
disparity persists based on the roles of the feminine and the masculine assigned to
each gender, determining what a woman can and should do inside and outside her
home, causing the conditions for her development to depend on it. So, this thesis
focused on knowing the perspective of zacatecan women around work and
motherhood, to identify the degree of human development that zacatecan women
have, taking as a basis the theory of human development that considers that
quality life of people and in this case of women, is achieved with equal
opportunities, access to health services, education, housing, as well as work. The
study is quantitative-qualitative, using as an instrument a structured questionnaire
answered by 604 women from the urban, semi-urban and rural areas of the state of
Zacatecas. The results of the study about the vision of human development show
that zacatecan women have a low degree of human development, whether or not
they have children with limitations related to the sex-gender system at home, work
and education, which prevents their access to health, housing and purchasing
power, but it shows that many parts of the women surveyed are developing their
capacities.
