Analysis and explanation of industrial, business, and sociability processes
and union-union struggles in Zacatecas as in some
regions of Colombia started from a diverse theoretical-methodological approach and, in
occasions, poorly defined. However, we are clear that industry is the activity
productive transformer of goods and that gradually requires a
incipient technical division of labor. In the craft-union structures it
industrial is limited to manufacturing work processes in which there is no
such division of labor. In modern manufacturing, although the technical basis of
work is artisan cut, the incipient and necessary division of labor “facilitates
the productive consumption of the labor force, due to its increasing intensity (filling
‘pores’). The same process that operates with people operates with tools,
that are perfected by manufacturing, creating the foundation for the emergence
of the machines. The retail worker and his instrument are, then, the elements
simple manufacturing.”
